Hi. We’re Chris + Anna Holmes.
We’re husband-and-wife landscape painters (and Certified Bob Ross Instructors), and we make art that feels like an exhale.
That means: peaceful landscapes and seascapes for busy minds. The kind of paintings you hang up and suddenly your living room feels… quieter. Not because your life stopped being chaotic (lol). But because you’ve got a place for your eyes—and your nervous system—to land.
How we ended up doing this together
We met during our Bob Ross certification at the original Joy of Painting studio. Which sounds like a cute fun fact… except it basically rerouted our entire lives.
One class turned into another. Then a cross-Atlantic love story. Then a whole lot of “Wait… are we really doing this?” And now we paint and teach together in Henderson, Tennessee—because apparently we like big life decisions with a side of Liquid White.
Why we paint (and why it matters)
Because we’ve lived the loud seasons. The stressful ones. The “too much, all at once” ones. And painting was the thing that helped us slow down long enough to breathe again.
So now we make work that does that for other people—original oil paintings, calming art prints, and beginner-friendly classes that remind you: you don’t have to be “an artist” to paint something beautiful.
