Golden light dancing across the water, rich autumn foliage, and a peaceful lakeside hideaway—all painted on a real slice of natural wood! 🪵✨

In Golden Hideaway, you’ll paint a glowing landscape on a natural wood cookie instead of a traditional canvas. You’ll create soft, radiant skies, vibrant autumn trees, and warm reflections shimmering across the water, all framed by the rustic charm of natural bark edges.

Along the way, Chris and I will guide you step-by-step through the Bob Ross wet-on-wet oil technique. You’ll learn how to layer colorful foliage, build atmospheric depth, and capture that cozy woodland glow.

What makes this class extra special?

Every wood cookie has its own unique grain, shape, and natural bark border, so no two finished pieces look identical. Because these natural wood surfaces require extra preparation and specialized materials, this one-off project is priced a little differently than our standard canvas classes, and you walk away with a truly unique piece of rustic art.

Never picked up a paintbrush before?

Total beginners are our absolute specialty (and ages 10+ are welcome!). You don't need to bring a single thing except yourself: we supply every brush, drop of oil paint, and your prepped wood slice, and we take you through every stroke at a relaxed, friendly pace.

You’ll head home with a complete, finished oil painting on natural wood, filled with golden light and woodland magic, ready to find its perfect spot in your home. (And yes, you really painted it yourself!)
