The story behind the painting

I finished this painting a few days before we brought home Elsa — our tiny, dramatic chihuahua.

At the time, I didn’t know what it was for.
Then the oven beeped, and I told it it would be okay.

Apparently my maternal instinct now extends to household appliances.

That’s when Starglow Falls clicked.
It’s not about energy. Or inspiration.
It’s about stillness that doesn’t ask for anything back.
